Slovakia: From the past to the future

It was a pleasure to host an online presentation with discussion with Doris Hanzl-Weiss at the Centre of Social and Psychological Sciences that took place in June 16th 2021.  Doris is an economist at The Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies and country expert for Slovakia. Moreover, she is a member of the International Advisory Board of the CSPS.
Her research expertise focuses on industrial structural change and sector analysis. She participated in large integrated research projects, including projects within the 6th and 7th Framework Programmes. Her latest Forecast Reports about Slovakia entitled “Uncertainties prevail: Darkest before the dawn?” was published in April 2021.

International workshop about the posting of workers within EU

On May 26, 2021, the Centre of Social and Psychological Sciences organized an international workshop “Mutual Learning Lab 2”, on the posting of workers - employees sent by their employer to carry out a service in another EU Member State on a temporary basis. The workshop aimed to discuss solutions and policy recommendations addressing challenges of the enactment of posting of workers at the national level (from the perspective of project countries) as well as at the EU level.
